A building in Londonderry, New Hampshire, has been around since the 70s. The business inside the building recently had sump pumps installed because the basement was flooding. After the water was pumped out of the basement they found that the main floor inside the business felt bouncy now. The owner of the business called EFS for free inspection. Our Design Specialist Victor met with the owner and talked about their concerns. After their conversation, Victor then inspected the basement to find out what had caused the floors to start bouncing. During his inspection, he found that when the basement had flooded it had caused the footing to loosen and caused the floors to start bouncing. Victor recommended installing SmartJacks, TripleSafe, and CleanSpace to stabilize the floor system and protect against further moisture problems.
Our Installation team led by Edward N. began by removing the old supports and replacing them with our SmartJacks. We installed 87 SmartJacks into the basement to stabilize the large main floor of the business. After the floor was stabilized the team then replaced the existing sump pump with our 3 TripleSafe sump pumps complete with battery backups. After the sump pumps were installed and the drainage line was guided to the exterior of the business, our team began installing 3500 sqft of CleanSpace. The CleanSpace will encapsulate the section of the basement that has dirt floors and prevent moisture from collecting in the basement.
Everything went according to the plan of Victor and the team, which resulted in a very happy customer. The building no longer has bouncy floors and moisture concerns inside the basement.
