This homeowner in Sudbury, Massachusetts, had built their home in 1973. They have lived in the home for a long time and over a decade ago they started to notice water begin to enter the basement and collect on the floors. Fast forward to now the issue has gotten worse and happens more often. After dealing with this issue for so long the homeowners finally decided to call some for a solution. They reached out to EFS for a free inspection of their basement. Our Design Specialist Keith Soper met with the homeowner and inspected the basement of the home to find solutions to prevent the water from collecting inside the basement. After Keith finished his inspection he talked with the owners of the home and recommended installing WaterGuard, SuperSump, and IceGuard into the basement to prevent water from coming into the basement and collecting on the floor.
Our Installation Team led by Steve Dumais began by chipping out 16' of concrete along one corner of the basement. We created a trench and basin so we could install our perimeter drainage and sump pump. We installed the SuperSump and WaterGuard into the basement and sloped the drainage toward the sump pump. The team then plumbed the SuperSump to the exterior of the home where we installed our IceGuard and drainage line. After we installed and buried the exterior drainage line, we returned back inside to pour concrete over the perimeter drainage and around the basin of the sump pump to lock it into place.
