Photo Album: Vacation Home Needs Pilings to be Stabilized, Hillsboro, NH
The owner of a vacation home in Hillsboro, New Hampshire purchased the property in late 2022. The cottage built in 1984, lies on the side of a hill and the cottage rests on concrete pilings. After they purchase the home the homeowners had an inspected look at the entire cottage. The inspector recommended installing new pilings for the vacation home. The homeowner wanted to build a new deck anyway so they reached out to EFS about replacing the supports under the cottage. Our Design Specialist Jason Vachon met with the homeowners and inspected the supports of the cottage. After his inspection of the cottage, Jason recommended installing 10 Helical Piers with Porch Brackets to stabilize the foundation of their vacation home.
Our Installation Team led by Edward N. began by setting up some temporary posts so they could remove an old concrete piling and replace it with a Helical Pier with a porch bracket. We replaced 10 of the concrete pilings with Helical Piers to stabilize and lift the foundation of their vacation home. Our Helical Piers are strong enough to hold the home in place while sitting on a severe slope.
