Photo Album: Rental Property Has Water In Basement, Manchester, NH

The owner of a rental property in Manchester, New Hampshire for the past 7 years, has fielded a few calls from tenants this year about water in the basement of the building. The tenants have explained that water enters the basement during periods of heavy rain/ melting. The owner of the building felt the need to have the building repaired so they reached out to EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist Jason Vachon met with the owner of the building and inspected the basement of the building. After Jason's inspection, he recommended installing CleanSpace, WaterGuard, TrenchDrain, TripleSafe, IceGuard, and Exterior Drainage Line in the basement to prevent water from collecting.  Our Installation Team led by Anthony Locascio began by chipping out 54' around the perimeter of the basement so we could install our WaterGuard and TrenchDrain. Connected to the trench the team also installed our TripleSafe to pump out any water that was collected in the perimeter drainage. Following the installation of the TripleSafe basin and pumps the team plumbed the system to the exterior of the home where we installed 2 IceGuards and 20' of Exterior Drainage Line to carry water away from the foundation of the home. After the exterior drainage was installed the team then returned back into the basement to install 32' of CleanSpace against the foundation wall in the basement. The CleanSpace was installed over the WaterGuard to allow water that penetrates through the wall to flow into the perimeter drainage and allow it to flow to the sump pump. After everything was installed, the last thing for the team to do was to mix concrete and pour it over the perimeter drainage and around the basin of the sump pump to lock them into place.
