Photo Album: Unwanted Water in Basement, Stoneham, MA
This homeowner in Stoneham, Massachusetts, had lived in their home for the past 25 years. For the first time since purchasing the home, they had seen an influx of water appear in the basement in March 2023. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection of their basement. Our Design Specialist Dan Gillette met with the homeowner and recommended installing a SuperSump into the basement to collect any water and installing an IceGuard and Exterior Drainage Line to carry water away from the foundation of the home. The area where the sump pump will be installed was underneath the existing stairs to enter the basement.
Our Installation Team led by Steve Dumais began by chipping out a basin for our SuperSump. Once the concrete was removed the team then dug down beneath the slab so we could install our basin and make sure it was flush with the concrete. After we fitted the basin we then installed the SuperSump into the basement and plumbed the sump pump outside. On the outside of the home, the team installed an IceGuard and a 30' Exterior Discharge Line to carry the water away from the foundation. After our team installed the sump and the discharge line the team returned back into the basement and poured concrete around the SuperSump to lock it into place.
