This homeowner in Freemont, New Hampshire, wants to lower the radon levels in their home. They are concerned about the radon levels because their children live here and they teach classes out of the home too. The homeowners reached out to EFS for us to inspect their home's radon levels. Our Design Specialist Anthony Brancato met with the homeowners and tested the home for radon by using a radon test kit. Once the results were in, Anthony reviewed the results with the owners and discussed the next steps. The results of the test were 7.7 pCi/L. Anthony recommended installing a radon mitigation system in the home with two extraction points to collect the most radon possible from beneath the home.
Our Installation Team led by Branden Edwards began by creating two extraction points in the basement to collect radon from below the home. After the extraction points were created, the team attached PVC to them and fed the piping to the exterior of the home where we installed the radon fan. We connected the PVC pipe to the radon fan and vented the system above the roofline of the home.
