Photo Album: 1950s Home Had 3 Feet of Water Inside Crawlspace, Hampstead, NH
A homeowner in Hampstead, New Hampshire with a 1950s home recently experienced a flooding issue in their crawlspace. This was the first time they had ever encountered water in their home, and they attributed the issue to a nearby vacant lot, which had been developed into a new home a few years ago. The sudden influx of water overwhelmed their existing sump pump, leading them to seek out a solution. They reached out to EFS for a free inspection of their crawlspace. Victor Tapia, one of our Design Specialists, met with the homeowner and conducted an inspection. During the inspection, Victor discovered that the sump pump was underpowered and that the crawlspace would benefit from CleanSpace, perimeter drainage, and SmartJacks to address moisture and a sagging beam.
Our Installation Team, led by Anthony LoCascio, replaced the old sump pump with our TripleSafe, and installed our IceGuard and 40' Exterior Discharge Line, ensuring that water would be properly directed away from the home. Next, the team installed SmartJacks under the sagging beam and SmartPipe around the perimeter. After that, the team encapsulated the crawlspace with CleanSpace, covering the walls and floors to keep the space dry.
The homeowners were thrilled with the results of the project, and grateful that their home was now protected from water damage in the crawlspace.
