Photo Album: Water and Moisture Issues in Basement After Sump Pump Died, Acton, MA
This homeowner in Acton, Massachusetts, has lived in their 1980s home for the past 6 years. Recently they had their sump pump stop working. Since it hasn't been working they have seen high moisture and humidity build up in their basement. To have this issue looked at, the homeowners called EFS for a free inspection of the basement. Our Design Specialist Liam FitzPatrick met with the homeowners and inspected their basement. After the inspection, Liam recommended replacing the failed sump pump with a TripleSafe and an Exterior Drainage Line with a Lawnscape Outlet.
Our Installation Team led by Branden Edwards started the project by removing the sump that had failed. After the sump was removed the team chipped out the concrete around the old sump pump basin in order to fit our bigger and better TripleSafe pump. Once our team installed the TripleSafe into the basin we then began plumbing the pumps to the exterior of the home where we installed 10" of Exterior Drainage Line and a LawnScape Outlet. Once the drainage line was installed and buried, the team then returned to inside the basement and mixed up concrete, and poured it around the base of the TripleSafe to lock it into place.
The homeowner was happy with the results of the project and saw a dramatic improvement in moisture and humidity build-up in the basement after the system was installed.
