Photo Album: Cracks in Foundation are Causing Concern for Homeowners, Saugus, MA
A homeowner in Saugus, Massachusetts recently acquired a new home but has yet to move in due to concerns over a crack in the foundation. Before they occupy the property, they wanted a reputable company to examine the foundation. They contacted EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist Kenny Calabrese met with the homeowner and inspected the foundation, discovering cracks and settlement up to 2 inches at the front corner of the home. Kenny recommended installing Push Piers on the right side of the home to stabilize and lift the foundation, which would eliminate the settlement.
Our Installation Team, led by Ed N., exposed the right foundation of the home and marked where each of the 12 Push Piers would be installed. They utilized a combination of standard brackets and flush mounts to send the Push Piers beneath the foundation and stabilize it. After reaching the correct pressure, the team backfilled the piers with dirt.
The homeowners were pleased with the project's results and are now confident to move into their new home.
