This homeowner in Concord, MA was concerned with the condition of their concrete patio surrounding their pool. The inside border of the inground pool consisted of coping blocks, and abutting these were large concrete sections. These sections were uneven, cracked, and in need of leveling and repairs pretty much the for the entire perimeter of the pool. As the conditions got worse over the years, they found it harder to enjoy their summers around the pool without having to worry about tripping or seeing the unsightly patio.
Our Erickson Foundation Solutions team designed and proposed a solution for the entire patio. Starting with PolyLevel, a polymer foam was injected into each individual concrete slab and either raised it back to a safe, level height, or simply stabilized it to protect against any future settlement, depending on what was needed.
Once lifting and stabilizing were complete, the cracks and joints were sealed with NexusPro, a silicone based caulking designed for outdoor concrete use. Other small sections here and there throughout the patio also required some concrete patching or filling in of larger holes.
With their uneven pool patio now in safe condition, these homeowners can enjoy their summers at home with peace of mind that their concrete is not only safer, but more presentable and pleasing to look at.
