Photo Album: Tired of Basement Flooding, Bedford, NH
A homeowner in Bedford, New Hampshire had lived in their home for 37 years without any water entering their basement. However, for the last three years, they have had to use a shop vac to clean up water after heavy rainstorms. Tired of this, the homeowner called EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist, Anthony Brancato, met with the homeowner and created a solution to prevent water from collecting in their basement. The solution included 33' of WaterGuard, a TripleSafe, IceGuard, and 50' of Exterior Discharge Line.
Our Installation Team, led by Steve Dumais, chipped out the concrete for perimeter drainage and sump pump installation. They dug down and installed the TripleSafe sump pump and WaterGuard. The team then installed the perimeter drainage and sump pump, followed by plumbing the system to the exterior of the home. To ensure the water would drain away from the foundation, an IceGuard was installed to prevent the system from backing up into the basement. Finally, 50' of Exterior Drainage Line was installed and buried. The team mixed concrete and poured it over the WaterGuard and around the TripleSafe.
The homeowner was pleased with the results of the project and no longer has to spend hours cleaning up water in their basement after every rainstorm.
