Photo Album: Concerns with Water Entering Basement, Atkinson, NH
A homeowner in Atkinson, New Hampshire had a sump pump installed in their basement, but water was still finding its way in. They contacted EFS and requested a free basement inspection. Design Specialist John Prince met with the homeowner, assessed the situation, and suggested the installation of WaterGuard, TripleSafe sump pump, and CleanSpace Wall System to contain the water entering from the floors and walls.
Anthony LoCascio and his installation team chipped out a trench around the basement perimeter to hold the drainage in place. The team also created an area for the TripleSafe to be integrated with the perimeter drainage. The TripleSafe was installed first, followed by the CleanSpace, which was applied from top to bottom to capture any moisture from the walls. The perimeter drainage was then installed, with CleanSpace tucked behind the flange of the WaterGuard to allow moisture to enter the drainage system. The team then mixed and poured concrete over the perimeter drainage and the base of the sump pump.
The homeowner was thrilled with the results, as the basement is now water-free.
