Photo Album: Concrete Pool Deck Repair, Mattapoisett, MA
These homeowners in Mattapoisett, MA have had cracked and uneven concrete surrounding their pool for a couple years. They knew they needed to get it fixed, and eventually sought out a company like Erickson Foundation Solutions for some repair options. Fortunately, the surface of the pool deck was not in terrible condition, and so what they really needed to address their concerns was lifting and leveling the uneven sections of the deck. Our specialist, Kenneth Calabrese, proposed and designed a repair utilizing PolyLevel, our polymer foam solution for lifting, leveling, and stabilizing concrete. This was the ideal solution for the homeowners, as they really wanted to avoid having to tear out and replace any concrete.
Our specialists were able to complete repairs in a single day, and the homeowners were able to continue using their pool and the surrounding patio within minutes. The PolyLevel installation process causes minimal disruption to the surface of the slabs, just a dime sized port hole where the foam is injected. The production crew drilled all these port holes, and then set in to inject the foam as needed. Some sections of the concrete required lift to remove trip hazards, while other sections of the concrete just needed stabilization to prevent any future cracks or settlement.
By the end of the project, the concrete deck was in great shape, and large trip hazards that developed over the years were removed in a single day. The homeowners were very pleased with the results and glad to have a safe place for their friends and family around their pool.
Patio Settlement Concern
The concrete in this section of the patio had settled as much as an inch, which was both unsightly and a trip hazard.
Uneven Concrete Patio
During Kenneth's inspection, he made a note of the homeowners wanting to level out the concrete around their pool slide. It was uneven and sloping down, creating a bit of a trip hazard.
Leveling Concrete Patio
Where the slide stood, the concrete was a little uneven. The homeowners wanted a safe place for their friends and family to walk around the pool, and so our team lifted and stabilized the concrete surrounding the pool slide.
Concrete Stabilization
There was minimal settlement in this area of the pool deck, however since other sections had settled and cracked, there was a chance it would also eventually happen here. The homeowners opted to inject PolyLevel here in order to protect their patio against any future issues.
Patio Trip Hazards
The cracks in the concrete on this corner of the patio were bad trip hazards. After installation of the PolyLevel to even out the surface, our team also applied NexusPro concrete sealant to all the cracks and joints.
