These homeowners in Middleton, MA were very concerned with the sunken and sloping concrete around their inground pool. The patio extended away from the pools edge about 4 feet, creating a narrow walking area for the pool. This concrete ended at the grass, where it had settled significantly over the years. So while the patio had not shifted at the pool edge, it was sinking as it faded away from the pool, and ultimately created a sloping trip hazard that was unpleasant and dangerous for anybody walking around the pool. The last thing they wanted to do was tear out the concrete and completely redo their landscaping or patio. When our specialist proposed PolyLevel, they were thrilled to learn there was another option.
Our concrete repair team arrived on their scheduled installation day and completed the lift and level project in a single day. The main goal for the homeowners was to eliminate the trip hazard and slanting patio, and that's exactly what our team achieved for them. When the PolyLevel was injected beneath the settled concrete, it lifted back up several inches to a near level position. The void beneath the patio was completely filled with the expanding polymer foam, permanently stabilizing the slab from further settlement.
Uneven Pool Deck
On the day of our inspection of the pool deck, it was very evident the concrete had settled significantly on the edges. This became a tricky slope where people often tripped, and the homeowners really wanted this section lifted back to level.
Concrete Lifting
The team used slab jacks to slightly lift the settled concrete prior to injecting their PolyLevel. Once the PolyLevel filled the voids, the expanding foam filled the voids and completed the remaining lift. The injection ports where the material is injected are not visible, making this process extremely clean and effective.
