Photo Album: Cracks, Moisture, and Radon in Basement, Milford, NH
A new resident of Milford, New Hampshire recently bought a house and discovered cracks in the foundation wall. They wanted to address some basement concerns and called on EFS for a free inspection. Design Specialist Isaac Hernandez met with the homeowners to discuss their concerns, which included water seeping through the foundation wall cracks, high moisture levels, and high radon levels. Isaac provided a solution that included installing FlexiSpan to seal the foundation cracks, a SaniDry XP to reduce humidity, and activating the passive radon system with an additional extraction point to collect more radon.
The installation team, led by Dillon Kingsbury, started by activating the radon mitigation system, adding an extraction point, and installing a fan in the attic. They then sealed the foundation cracks with FlexiSpan to prevent water intrusion and installed a high-strength dehumidifier to lower moisture levels. The homeowner was very satisfied with the results of the project.
Activating Passive Radon System
The team activated the system by creating an additional extraction point and installing a radon fan.
FlexiSpan Installed
The team installed the FlexiSpan over the crack in the foundation and chipped out the bottom of the wall to create a channel for the water to pass through.
SaniDry XP Installed
The team installed our high-strength dehumidifier to lower the moisture in the basement.
