This homeowner in Lunenburg, MA was concerned with the various tripping hazards scattered throughout their concrete pool deck. Near the edge of the pool, the patio was higher, and sloped away from the pool at varying levels. In some places, voids formed beneath the concrete, and the sloping was hazardous, forming trip hazards. There were also some large cracks near the stairs.
The owner was pleased with the proposal and designed solution from our specialist, Kenneth Calabrese, and hired our Erickson team to inject PolyLevel to address the uneven, cracked concrete.
Our production team of Nick and Joe was able to complete the repairs in a single day. In some areas where the deck was sloping substantially, the crew used slab jacks to assist with lifting the concrete prior to injecting their PolyLevel. This allowed them to lift the concrete in a more controlled manner without the risk of causing more cracks. Upon completion of the repairs, our team was successful in lifting and leveling the uneven areas, sealing and filling the cracks with NexusPro, and providing the homeowner with a much safer concrete deck around their inground pool.

The soil beneath the concrete patio had eroded over the years, causing voids to form. Without proper support under the slab, it settled and cracked, creating unsafe trip hazards and unsightly cracks on the surface.

The crew utilizes slab jacks to assist with some portions of the lift and level procedure. The repairs do not disrupt the landscaping or create any kind of mess, a big plus when it comes to concrete repair.
