Photo Album: Foundation Cracks Exposed When Siding Was Redone, Manchester, NH
A resident of Manchester, New Hampshire, was in the process of redoing the siding of their home when they discovered cracks on their block foundation. Worried about the stability of their home, they reached out to EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist, John Prince, met with the homeowner and thoroughly inspected the foundation. Based on his assessment, John recommended installing 6 Helical Piers to stabilize the foundation and a small section of Masonry Frost Wall.
Our skilled Installation Team, led by Nick Carelli, got to work installing the frost wall and piers. During the preparation for the pier installation, Nick and his team noticed a slight sag in the floor system above them. Upon informing the homeowner, Nick suggested reinforcing the floor system with a couple of SmartJacks in the basement. He also recommended the installation of a SaniDry Sedona to control moisture levels. The homeowner agreed, and Nick collected payment before installing the SaniDry and SmartJacks the following day.
The homeowner was delighted with the outcome of the project and now has more confidence in the strength of their foundation wall.
