A homeowner in Derry, New Hampshire, has lived in their home for almost 2 years. Since moving into the home in late 2021 they noticed the floor system in their home was sloping and sagging. They wanted to repair the problem so they reached out to EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist recommended installing 6 SmartJacks into the basement. The SmartJacks will add support and eliminate the sloping and sagging of the floor system.
Our installation team began by chipping out small sections of concrete around the basement where we will install our SmartJacks. We placed our footings into the chipped area and cut our SmartJacks to the correct size. Next, the team installed our adjustable bracket on the top of the SmartJack and secured it in the footing and to the floor system above. Once secured the team was able to adjust the bracket to lift the floor to eliminate any sagging or sloping. After the floors were secured the team then mixed up some concrete and poured the concrete around the footing of the SmartJacks.
