Photo Album: Installing Radon System to Sell Home and Move South, East Wakefield, NH
A homeowner in East Wakefield, New Hampshire, had planned on selling their home and moving out of the northeast to a warmer climate to avoid the harsh winters. The homeowner knew the radon levels in their home had increased since they purchased the home 22 years ago. They decided to call EFS for a radon inspection and our Design Specialist recommended and designed a radon mitigation system for the home.
Our installation team installed the radon system by starting with an extraction point in the basement slab and then installing PVC pipe and sending it outside the home where we installed the radon fan to the of the home. They then secured the radon fan to the side of the home and attached the PVC pipe to the fan and vented the system above the roofline. After the system was installed the team then used NexusPro to seal 42' of cracks in the basement to make sure radon can't enter the home through the cracks.
