A homeowner in Dunbarton, New Hampshire, has noticed that the roof of their covered porch has been sagging since they purchased the home 8 years ago. The homeowner wanted to fix the issue before a potential collapse occurs. The homeowners met with our Design Specialist Nate Erickson, and Nate recommended replacing their existing porch supports with our Helical Piers with Porch Brackets with pressure-treated supports.
Our Installation Team began by setting up temporary supports so we could remove the old support posts. Next, the team began to drive our Helical Piers into the ground using our excavator with a hydraulic drive head. The drive head will twist the piers into the ground until we reached sufficient pressure to stabilize the roof. After the Helical Piers were secured the team attached our Porch Bracket to the pier and fitted a 6x6 pressure-treated support to the bracket and secured it to the roof.
