Photo Album: Basement Flooding in One Corner, Stoneham, MA
A homeowner in Stoneham, Massachusetts, had purchased their home about a year ago. Since purchasing the home, they have seen water periodically flood in one corner of their basement. The flooding occurs near their bulkhead door, water heater, and furnace. The homeowner decided to call EFS for a free inspection of their basement. Our Design Specialist Tom inspected the basement and recommended a solution to prevent the basement from flooding anymore. Tom recommended installing WaterGuard, TrenchDrain, and a SuperSump with an IceGuard into the basement to collect the water and push it out of the basement.
Our Installation Team began by chipping out concrete for our SuperSump. One member of our team installed the sump while the others chip out the rest of the concrete for our drainage system. The team installed the sump into a basin and plumbed it through the side of the home to the exterior of the home. Once outside, the team installed an IceGuard and a 10' Exterior Drainage Line to carry water away from the foundation. After the SuperSump was installed and plumbed to the exterior of the home. The team then tested the sump and then moved on to installing the rest of the drainage in the basement. We installed 44' of WaterGuard along the wall next to the sump and then installed TrenchDrain under the bulkhead door, water heater, and oil tank. After the WaterGuard and TrenchDrain were installed, the team then mixed up some concrete and encase the drainage and sump pump in concrete.
