Photo Album: Homeowners Want to Keep Basement Dry, Haverhill, MA
A homeowner in Haverhill, Massachusetts, purchased a 100-year-old home just over a year ago. In the first couple of months of owning the home, they noticed water entering the basement. The owners would like to find a solution to the problem so they reached out to EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist Keith inspected the home and recommended installing a perimeter drainage system into the basement to pump out water before it enters the basement.
Our Installation team began by chipping out concrete so we can install our SuperSump and WaterGuard. The team chipped out a space for us to install the SuperSump basin and the WaterGuard. After all of the chipping was complete the team first installed the sump pump into the basement and plumbed it to the exterior of the home where we installed the IceGuard and Exterior Drainage Line. After the sump was installed, the team started to install the 40' of WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement. The team made sure the drainage was connected and pitched toward the sump pump so any water that enters the system will be directed into the sump pump basin. After everything was installed the team completed the project by mixing up concrete and pouring concrete over the WaterGuard and around the SuperSump basin to lock everything in place.
