Photo Album: High Radon Levels and Cracks in Basement, Hollis, NH
A homeowner in Hollis, New Hampshire, had recently tested their home for radon. The results of the test averaged around 7 pCi/L so the homeowner decided to call EFS for an inspection. Our Design Specialist recommended and designed a radon mitigation system with 2 extraction points for the home and also recommended using NexusPro to seal the cracks on the slab in the basement.
Our Installation team began by installing the two extraction points on opposite ends of the basement. Next, the team connected the extraction points with PVC pipe and fed the PVC to the exterior of the home. On the exterior of the home, the team installed the radon fan to the side of the home where we installed the PVC pipe to the fan. After the PVC pipe was connected to the fan the team then vented the entire system above the roofline of the home to make sure no radon can re-enter the home.
