Photo Album: Pooling Water on Garage Floor, Hudson, NH
A homeowner in Hudson, New Hampshire, had lived in their home for the past decade. Over that time they have seen water collect on the garage floor. The homeowner was worried the water would eventually cause a bigger issue. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist Liam recommended installing PolyLevel under the slab to pitch the concrete toward the driveway so water can't settle on the garage floor.
Our installation team began by drilling small holes in the garage slab. The holes were made in a grid pattern across the slab so we could pitch the slab without cracking it. After the team drilled all of the port holes, they then set up the PolyLevel rig and began injecting PolyLevel into each hole to slowly move the concrete into position. The team pitched the concrete slab from back to front so any water that was in the garage would flow down toward the driveway. The team used levels to make sure the slab was pitched correctly. After the concrete was correctly pitched the team then mixed up some universal concrete and filled the port holes in the concrete. With the portholes plugged, you would have to be very close to the concrete to notice where the PolyLevel was injected.
Puddle in Garage
There was a puddle of water in the back corner of the garage. This puddle is where all the water would collect after a period of heavy rain.
