Photo Album: Homeowner Wanted to Have Radon System Installed, Kensington, NH
The owner of a home in Kensington, New Hampshire, had purchased and moved into their home about a week ago. The homeowner would like to have a Radon Mitigation System installed in their home. The homeowner decided to call EFS for an inspection of their home. Our team left a 48-hour radon test kit at the home before we arrived for our appointment with the homeowner. The results of the test averaged around 5.5 pCi/L Our Design Specialist recommended installing a Radon Mitigation System into the home to lower the levels in their home.
Our installation first made an extraction point into the basement of the home to collect radon from below the home. The team then attached PVC piping from the extraction point to the exterior of the home. This pipe will guide radon-filled air from beneath the home and guide it toward the radon fan. The team installed the radon fan to the exterior of the home where the team connected the PVC pipe to the radon pipe. After the two were connected the team then vented the radon system above the roofline.
The system lowered the radon levels from 5.5 to approximately 0.
