Photo Album: Bowing and Cracked Foundation Wall, Canterbury, NH
A homeowner in Canterbury, New Hampshire, built their home 2 years ago. In those 2 years, the foundation walls in the basement have already cracked and started to bow. The homeowner wanted to address this problem as quickly as they could so they reached out to EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist Jason inspected the home and recommended using Geolocks, Crack Injection, and NexusPro in the basement to straighten the wall and repair the cracks in the basement.
Our installation team began by installing the Geolocks to the foundation wall. They started by creating a trench in the yard 10' away from the foundation wall. Then they set a galvanized rod through the foundation wall and the soil into the trench in the yard. Then the team installed out Geolock plate to both ends of the rod and tightened the rod until the wall was straight. After the wall was straight the team then used our Crack Injection to seal the 9' crack on the foundation wall. The Crack Injection will prevent water from entering the basement. After the 2-part injection was complete, the team then used 31' of NexusPro to seal the cracks on the basement slab.
