Photo Album: Elevated Radon Levels in Home, Wenham, MA
A homeowner in Wenham, Massachusetts, had lived in their home for the past 5 years. A couple of months ago they became worried about the radon levels in their home and wanted to address it before it affects their health and/or their grandchildren. They decided to have their home tested for radon and the results came back with an average of around 8 pCi/L. Based on the results of the test the homeowner decided to call EFS for a radon appointment. Our Design Specialist Keith recommended and designed a radon mitigation system with 2 extraction points to install into their home.
Our installation team began by creating the two extraction points in the basements. After the team made the two extraction points they then used PVC pipe to bridge the extraction points and feed the PVC pipe to the exterior of the home. On the exterior of the home, the team will install the radon fan and connect the PVC pipe to the fan. Once secured the team will then use more PVC pipe to vent the system above the roofline.
