Photo Album: CleanSpace and Radon Mitigation System Installed, Nashua, NH
A homeowner in Nashua, New Hampshire, has lived in their home since 2007. The homeowners have grandchildren and plan to make their homes as safe as possible for them. The homeowner first had concerns with the radon levels in their home and second had concerns with the odor coming from their crawlspace. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection of their crawlspace and basement. Our Design Specialist Josh recommended installing a radon mitigation system in the basement and installing 811 sqft of CleanSpace into the crawlspace.
Our installation team began by installing the Radon Mitigation System. The team started by creating an extraction point in the slab in the basement. The team then used PVC pipe to send the radon air to the fan. The team installed the radon fan to the exterior of the home and connected the PVC pipe to it. Once the PVC pipe was attached, the team then installed more PVC pipe to the fan and vented the system above the roofline of the home. Next, the team moved on to installing CleanSpace into the crawlspace. The team laid 811 sqft of CleanSpace on the floors and walls in the crawlspace and sealed all of the edges with CleanSpace tape to ensure no moisture can penetrate the crawlspace. The homeowners were very pleased with the results of the project. The radon levels were reduced to below 4.0 pCi/L and the odor in the crawlspace was eliminated after the CleanSpace was installed.
