Photo Album: Tree Fell on Home and Damaged Foundation, Chichester, NH
A homeowner in Chichester, New Hampshire, has lived in their home for the past 20 years. This year they had a tree fall on their home and the tree damaged the house and the foundation. The homeowner submitted an insurance claim for their home to be repaired for the damage caused by the tree. The insurance company permitted the homeowner to seek out local repair of their home and the insurance company would reimburse them for the cost. The homeowner researched foundation repair companies and found Erickson Foundation Solutions. They reached out and scheduled a free inspection with our Design Specialist Isaac. Isaac inspected the home's foundation and recommended replacing the damaged section of the foundation with a new Masonry Block Foundation Wall.
Our installation team first removed dirt from the foundation wall so they could cut out the damaged section of the wall. Next, the team removed all of the debris and began prepping for the Masonry Block Wall. The team then built up the block wall to the floor joists and installed a new egress window. After the wall was complete the team then backfilled the dirt back against the foundation wall and took the homeowner on a final walkthrough of the project.
The homeowner was very pleased with all the work that EFS did at their home.

Backfilled Dirt Over Foundation
The final step of the project was to slowly backfill over the new Masonry Wall until the dirt was at the bottom of the egress window.
