Photo Album: Cracked and Sinking Garage Slab, Deerfield, NH
A homeowner in Deerfield, New Hampshire, had lived in their home since 2007. Not long after moving into their home, they noticed cracks forming in the basement. Over the years they've seen the cracks grow and spread from the basement to the garage. The homeowner wanted to find a fix to stop the slab from cracking so they reached out to EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist James recommended using PolyLevel to fill any void underneath the slab and then once the slab was stabilized they would then seal the cracks in the concrete with NexusPro.
Our Installation team began by drilling port holes in a grid pattern throughout the concrete slab. Then our team sets up the PolyLevel rig and used the port holes to inject PolyLevel beneath the slab and fill the void underneath. After all the void was filled, the team then sealed all of the portholes with little bits of universal concrete. Then the team used NexusPro to put over all of the cracks and seal them.
Garage Before
The garage had sunken and cracked over time.
Drilled Portholes
The first thing was to drill the portholes in a grid pattern around the slab.
Inject Foam
Second the team injected foam under the slab to fill the void.
Nexus Pro and Finish
Third, the team installed NexusPro to seal all of the cracks on the slab.
