Photo Album: Moisture Issue in Crawlspace, North Reading, MA

The owner of a rental property in North Reading, Massachusetts, knew they had a moisture issue in their crawlspace for at least the past year. The owner has a tenant that was moving out of the building so they decided they wanted to address the moisture issues in their crawlspace. They called EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist Tom inspected the crawlspace and tested the relative humidity. Tom recommended encapsulating the crawlspace with CleanSpace to control the humidity in the crawlspace.  Our production team arrived at the property and began installing 1200 sqft of CleanSpace into the crawlspace. The encapsulation comes in big rolls and the team must use strong adhesive tape to connect the vapor barrier to the wall and another section of the vapor barrier. The team started installing CleanSpace on the wall first. They did all 4 walls before moving on to installing the rest of the vapor barrier over the floors. The team made sure there were no gaps between the CleanSpace or the CleanSpace Tape to make sure no unwanted moisture can come into the crawlspace from the walls or ground.
