Photo Album: 2 Family Home Has Water Entering Finished Basement, Arlington, MA
The owner of a 2 family home in Arlington, Massachusetts, had water threatening to ruin their finished basement. The owners had to replace the floors in the past because of water entering the basement and they don't want to do that again. The homeowners decided to call EFS for a free inspection of their basement. Our Design Specialist Keith inspected the basement and recommended installing WaterGuard and a SuperSump to prevent water from entering and damaging the basement in the future.
Our team chipped out 18' of concrete at the base of the foundation wall in the finished area of the basement. This will allow us to install our WaterGuard in the basement to collect any water that enters into the basement. Then in the corner of the finished section of the basement, the team chipped out and removed dirt so we could install our SuperSump to pump out any water collected in the WaterGuard. After the team installed the SuperSump we then plumbed the sump to the exterior of the home where we installed an IceGuard and an Exterior Drainage Line that will carry water at least 10' away from the foundation of the home. Lastly, the team mixed up some concrete and covered the WaterGuard and around the SuperSump to eliminate any tripping hazards.
