Photo Album: Vertical Cracks Allowing Water Into Basement, Northwood, NH
This homeowner in Northwood, New Hampshire, recently purchased their home and noticed cracks in the foundation wall that were allowing water into their basement. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist John recommended covering the cracks with FlexiSpan and installing PowerBraces to add support to the foundation wall.
Our production team began by covering the two cracks in the foundation walls with our FlexiSpan membrane. The membrane will stay attached to the crack even if it shifts. Next, the team started installing the PowerBraces on the foundation wall. Using an L bracket at the base of the wall and a top bracket system in the floor joists the team installed a galvanized I beam to add strength to the foundation wall.
