Photo Album: One Side of the Garage was Settling, North Reading, MA
A homeowner in North Reading, Massachusetts, had been living in their 2011 home for the past 7 years. Since moving into the home around 2015 they have noticed some settlement on one side of their attached garage. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection and to find a solution to their foundation settlement. Our Design Specialist recommended installing 3 Push Piers to the foundation of the attached garage.
Our team installed 3 Push Piers to the interior foundation wall of the garage to stabilize it. Our team chipped out sections of concrete to dig down and expose the footing. After the footing was exposed the team attached the Push Pier bracket to the footing of the foundation wall and used a hydraulic press to push small sections of galvanized steel beneath the home until they reached 4000 PSI. The team with then cap the piers and cover the brackets with dirt. After the dirt was tamped and flattened the team poured concrete over the hole to match the garage floor.
