A homeowner in Cambridge, Massachusetts, has lived in their home for the past 44 years. Recently their daughter moved back into the home and when she was moving her things back into the home she noticed some deterioration of the brick and mortar in the basement. She showed her parents and they decided to call EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist recommended installing SmartJacks with a Supplemental beam into the basement to support the floor system.
Our production team began by marking where each SmartJack will be installed and then chipped out a section of concrete for the footing to be installed. They then placed the footing into the hole and installed the SmartJack and Supplemental Beam. The SmartJacks and Supplemental beam will help support the floor system by pushing up on the floor joists. The team made sure everything was level before covering the base of the SmartJacks with concrete.
