Photo Album: Uneven Floors in Older Home, Peabody, MA

This homeowner in Peabody, Massachusetts, had lived in their home for the past 7 years. The home was built in the early 1900s. The house was built on ledge and had a fieldstone foundation. The year the homeowners moved into their home they noticed sloping in the main floors. After about 7 years of living with the floors this way, the homeowners decided to call EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist recommended installing SmartJacks in the basement to support the floor system and eliminate the sloping.  Our production team installed 9 SmartJacks throughout the entire basement to add support to the entire floor. Once all of the SmartJacks were set up, the team then tightened the adjustable top of each SJ to lift the floors and eliminate the sloping.
