Photo Album: Water Entering Through Fieldstone Foundation, Andover, MA
A homeowner in Andover, Massachusetts, had lived in their home for the past 4 years and ever since purchasing the home, they have had to clean up water from the basement. The homeowners plan on staying in the home for another 12-15 years until their kids graduate from high school. Until the kids were done with school the homeowners plan to do what they can with their current home and that means they wouldn't like to continue cleaning up water in the basement whenever it rains for more than a day. They also would like to finish the basement in the near future after the water problem was solved. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist recommended installing a perimeter drainage system and a radon mitigation system in the basement.
Our production team began by installing WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement to capture any water coming from the floor or the walls. The team also created the radon extraction point in one of the corners of the basement. Then the team installed the Triplesafe and connected it to the perimeter drainage system. After the extraction point, the WaterGuard, and the TripleSafe were installed the then covered with a layer of concrete to conceal them. While the concrete was cured the team fed PVC pipe from the extraction point to the fan on the exterior of the home.
