Photo Album: Cold Drafts and Moisture in Crawlspace, Manchester, NH
A homeowner in Manchester, New Hampshire, moved into their home in 2021. Since owning the home they have noticed moisture and cold drafts in their home that was built in 1945. They reached out to EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist Victor recommended encapsulating their crawlspace with CleanSpace and reducing moisture with a SaniDry Sedona.
Our team first began connecting sheets of CleanSpace to encapsulate the crawlspace. The team combined the CleanSpace by using our special CleanSpace Tape to install the CleanSpace and keep it air-tight to encapsulate the crawlspace. The team covered the entire floor and the wall up to the floor joists with CleanSpace. Once the crawlspace was completely encapsulated, the team then set up a SaniDry Sedona. The team installed the SaniDry in between the crawlspace and basement to control the moisture in both areas.
Crawlspace Before Encapsulation
The crawlspace was allowing moisture and cold drafts into the 1940s home.
Crawlspace Encapsulated
The team used CleanSpace to encapsulate the crawlspace and prevent moisture and drafts from entering.
SaniDry Installed
The team installed the SaniDry in the basement closest to the crawlspace to control the moisture in the air.
