Photo Album: Sudden Foundation Crack, North Andover, MA
A homeowner in North Andover, Massachusetts, has lived in their home for the past 8 years. During this summer the homeowner noticed a crack on their foundation that they haven't seen before. They monitored the crack for about a week before noticing that it seems to be getting worse. After they saw the problem get slightly worse they decided to call EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist Isaac recommended installing 6 Push Piers around the area where the crack was found.
Our production team began by exposing the footing around the crack in the foundation. Once the footing was exposed the team began installing Push Pier brackets onto the footing. After the brackets were installed the team used a hydraulic press to push the piers down into the soil below. Once all of the Push Piers were pressurized the team found that the crack on the foundation wall had shrunk. After the team capped all of the Push Pier Brackets the team then backfilled over the piers.
