Photo Album: Foundation Wall Bowing Inward, Raymond, NH
A homeowner in Raymond, New Hampshire, lived in a home built in 2004. They recently purchased the home in June 2022, and the previous owners mentioned that the septic tank wasn't buried deep enough into the ground at the front of the house. This caused the front foundation wall to experience high pressure resulting in an inward lean as well as a horizontal crack in the foundation wall. The homeowners decided to call EFS for a free foundation inspection. Our design specialist Jason recommended installing PowerBraces to the foundation wall and using Crack Injection to seal the horizontal crack.
Our team first installed 38' of Crack Injection to the cracks on the foundation wall. The team used a two-part solution to fill the crack with foam and then cover the crack to cover the crack. After the crack was sealed the team installed the 18 10' PowerBraces to the foundation wall to add support and straighten the wall.
Basement Before Foundation Repair
The homeowners were told when they purchased the home that the septic tank wasn't buried deep enough which caused extra pressure to be put on the foundation wall. Which ultimately caused the wall to bow inward and crack.
Crack Outlined in Tape
The team used tape to mark where the crack injection will be done.
PowerBrace and Crack Injection Complete
The team injected the cracks in the foundation wall and installed the PowerBraces to add support to the foundation wall and then to straighten the wall.
