A homeowner in Gloucester, Massachusetts, had questioned the air quality and humidity in their basement. They reached out to EFS for the service of their existing SaniDry Sedona. Our Service Technician Justin performed the annual service on the SaniDry but had a conversation with the homeowner revealing that they were concerned with the air quality in their home. After a conversation with the homeowner, Justin recommended an ERV system to the homeowner to improve the air quality in their basement.
Our production crew led by Branden Edwards installed the ERV on the basement wall. Off of the ERV system is 4 silver pipes that transfer old stale air from inside the home and replace it with new clean air from outside the home. The ERV successfully improved the air quality in the basement.
Basement Before ERV Installation
The homeowner had reached out to EFS about installing an ERV in their basement.
ERV Installation
The team installed the ERV against the foundation wall in the basement.
Interior Intake Vent
The team installed interior and exterior vents to condition the basement's old air and replaced it with fresh air from the home's exterior.
Exterior Vent
The team covered the egress window and fed the vent through the cover so that the ERV could bring in fresh air from the exterior of the home.
