Photo Album: Cracks in Foundation Wall Allowing Rodents into Crawlspace, Hudson, NH
A homeowner in Hudson, New Hampshire, had been living in their home for 8 years. Just over a year ago, the homeowners noticed some cracking in their foundation wall and some rodents finding their way into the crawlspace. The homeowner had found that the cracks have gotten larger and more rodents have appeared over the past year. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection, and our Design Specialist recommended installing NexusPro and Crack Injection into the foundation cracks to make sure no rodents can enter through them anymore.
Our production team began by marking and outlining all of the cracks in the foundation with tape to mark them. The tape will also help create straight lines when sealing the cracks. After all the cracks were marked the team then cleaned out the debris from inside the cracks they can then use Crack Injection to seal the crack. The team injected a rapidly expanding foam into the crack to create an air-tight barrier that rodents and water cannot pass through. After the foam sets, the team used NexusPro to seal smaller cracks around the foundation wall that they couldn't use crack injection on.
Foundation Crack in the Corner of the Foundation Wall
Our team edged the crack with tape and cleaned debris out of the crack before they repair it.
Second Foundation Crack
The team prepared the crack the same way they did the first crack.
Corner Foundation Crack Sealed
The team used a combination of injection foam and crack sealant to seal and waterproof the crack on the foundation wall.
Second Crack Sealed
The team used the crack injection and NexusPro to seal the crack on the foundation wall, then they used just NexusPro to seal the cracks on the floor.
