A homeowner in Malden, Massachusetts, had concerns with moisture and floor in their home. The home was built in 1955 and the homeowners have lived in the home for 40 years. The homeowner decided to call EFS for a free inspection. The design specialist found that the ledge in the crawlspace was allowing moisture into the home. The DS recommended installing CleanSpace and a SmartJack into the crawlspace.
Our production team began by setting up the SmartJack which will strengthen the floor above the ledge in the crawlspace. The team secured the base of the SmartJack into the rock with strong bolts. Once the base was secured, the team then installed the SmartJack post and attached it to the support beam. After the SJ was installed, the team then began setting up to install the CleanSpace in the crawlspace. The team used sheets of CleanSpace to encapsulate the crawlspace. The team combines sheets of CleanSpace with CleanSpace Tape to ensure no moisture can pass through the vapor barrier.
The homeowner was very pleased with the results of the project.
