The owner of a Bed & Breakfast in Bristol, New Hampshire, hosted a wedding that our Project Manager Nate Erickson attended for a family member. Nate had noticed some foundation problems while attending the wedding and decided to leave his business card with the staff of the B&B. The owners decided to call EFS for a free inspection. Our design specialist recommended installing Geolocks and Push Piers to repair the foundation wall.
Our production team began by exposing the foundation footing of the building. They attached 6 Push Pier Brackets to the foundation before using a hydraulic press to push the piers down under the structure to stabilize it. After all the Push Piers were pressurized then the team capped each of them and backfilled over them. After, the team begins setting up for the Geolocks. They first dug a trench parallel to the foundation wall to hold the earth plate. The trench was dug 10' from the foundation wall. Once the trench was dug the team then spaced out the Geolocks across that foundation wall and sent rods from inside to the trench on the outside of the building. The team then installed earth plates in the trench and the wall anchors on the foundation wall. The team then tightened the Geolocks and straightened the wall.
