Photo Album: Repair Moisture and Water Before Remodeling Basement, Lee, NH
A homeowner in Lee, New Hampshire, had a previously finished basement that they wanted to remodel. Water and moisture had been getting into the basement and it ended up distorting the floors. The homeowner would like to find a way to control the water and moisture in the home before continuing with the remodel of the basement. The homeowner called EFS for a free inspection and our design specialist recommended installing an UltraSump, WaterGuard, FlexiSpan, and SaniDry into the basement to stop the moisture and water from entering the basement.
Our production team began by chipping out a trench for the WaterGuard. The trench is cut at the base of the foundation wall to collect water coming down the foundation wall and from underneath the slab. Next, the team feeds the WaterGuard to a basin where the UltraSump will be installed. The team connected the WaterGuard and the UltraSump together so that when water entered the WaterGuard it will trickle down the drain to the sump pump. To address the crack in the foundation wall the team used FlexiSpan to seal the crack. FlexiSpan Seals the crack by covering it with a membrane that will prevent water from seeping through the wall but then also guide it down the wall into the WaterGuard System. After the FlexiSpan was installed the last item to be installed was the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to control the moisture in the basement.
