Photo Album: Water is Leaking Through Fieldstone Foundation, Merrimac, MA
A homeowner in Merrimac, Massachusetts, had owned their home for about 2 months and noticed water was coming into their basement through their fieldstone foundation. The homeowners had recently removed a tree from outside of their home and since removing the tree water had begun leaking into the basement. The homeowner decided to call EFS and our design specialist recommended installing an auxiliary wall against the fieldstone foundation.
Our production team began by clearing the area of any extra debris around the fieldstone foundation. Rebar was then drilled in and around the fieldstone foundation to give some the concrete to grab onto. After the rebar was installed the team set up the forms for the Auxiliary wall. The team hand-mixed concrete until the forms were full of concrete. The team then waited until the concrete was cured then they will remove the forms. Once the concrete was cured the team removed the forms and checked the concrete for any imperfections. If the concrete had any imperfections the team will trim off the extra concrete.
