Photo Album: Foundation Wall is Bowing, Milford, NH
A homeowner in Milford, New Hampshire, had pest control at their home to address a pest issue. The pest control company found a crack in the foundation of the home. The pest control company showed the crack to the homeowner. The homeowners decide that they would like to have the crack looked at by a professional so they reached out to EFS for a free inspection. Our design specialist recommended installing Geolocks to the back foundation wall of the garage.
Our production team began by measuring out where they wanted to install the 4 Geolocks on the back wall of the foundation. The team figured out where each Geolock would be installed. The team then chipped out the concrete so the team can dig the trench in the garage. The team made sure the trench was 10' away from the foundation wall. After the team dug the trench, they pushed the Geolock rod through the foundation wall and into the trench. Once the Geolock rods were pushed into the trench the team then attached the Geolock Plates to the rod and began to tighten each one. The team tightened each rod until the wall started to get pulled in. They continued to tighten the wall until it was straightened. After the wall was straightened the team backfilled the trench and poured new concrete to match the garage floor.
