Photo Album: Stairstep Cracks in Foundation Wall Causing Concern, Lawrence, MA
A homeowner in Lawrence, Massachusetts, had stairstep cracks in their foundation wall. Over the years the cracks were getting larger and the homeowner wanted to stop the wall from getting worse. Our design specialist recommended installing Geolocks to the home's foundation to add support.
Our production team started by sending long rods through the foundation wall and out to the porch foundation wall. On each end of the rods, the team attached a large plate that will brace against the foundation wall. The team repeated that process 6 more times and then after all the Geolocks are installed the team tightened each one with an impact gun. The team makes sure that all of the Geolocks are tightened all the way before they covered the outside Geolock plates with Hide-A-Way Covers.
