Photo Album: Erosion Causing Foundation and Waterproofing Issues, Pelham, NH
A homeowner in Pelham, New Hampshire, had water and dirt entering their basement. The homeowners have found that the dirt and water were coming into the basement from the front of the home. The dirt and water were able to enter the basement because the foundation at the front of the home doesn't have a footing. Our design specialist recommended installing, a perimeter drainage system with a SaniDry, Helical Piers, a small masonry wall, and SmartJacks to the home.
Our production team installed three Helical Piers at the front of the home to prevent the foundation from sinking. Next, they installed a perimeter drainage system. The system included WaterGuard, TrenchDrain, TripleSafe, IceGuard, and SaniDry. The drainage system will collect water in the WaterGuard and TrenchDrain, that water will be brought to the TripleSafe sump and pumped through a drainage line through the IceGuard and out into the backyard. The team installed the SaniDry to take moisture out of the air in the basement. The SaniDry will then expel the condensed water into the sump pump to then pump the water out. Next, the team installed 3 SmartJacks with a 15' supplemental beam. The SmartJacks will add stability to the main floor of the home. The last thing installed was the small masonry wall. The masonry wall is only 2 blocks high but it is to make sure that no dirt and water can run into the basement.
