Photo Album: Sloping Floors Getting Worse, Tewksbury, MA
A homeowner in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, had purchased a home 3 years ago. The previous owner claimed to have found a repair for the sloping floors on the home's main level. Now 3 years later the floors of the house are sloping again. The homeowner planned to fix the problem right. Our design specialist Victor recommended installing SmartJacks into the crawlspace to eliminate the sloping in the main floors. During Victor's inspection, he noticed some moisture in the crawlspace and the entrance to the crawlspace should be replaced.
Our team began by installing the SmartJacks into the crawlspace. A supplemental beam will be installed and run across the joists. Each SmartJack will be connected to the supplemental beam to lift the floor evenly. The team used our big footings to make sure our SmartJacks don't sink. After the SmartJacks were secured, the team then installed CleanSpace throughout the entire crawlspace. The team used CleanSpace tape to make sure that no moisture can enter through the CleanSpace. Lastly, the team installed an Everlast Door at the entrance of the crawlspace. The homeowners were very happy that they no longer have to worry about the floors in their home sloping anymore.
